Over 200 Attended the Sue the IJC Meeting on October 6th, 2019, at Marlin's, Sodus Point
Lake Ontario Saint Lawrence River Alliance (LOSLRA), Save Our Sodus (SOS), and concerned area residents attended the ACTION MEETING and Fundraiser.
IMPORTANT POINTS COVERED:
►Lake Ontario Saint Lawrence River Alliance (LOSLRA), a regional organization is raising a $1 million legal fund to sue the IJC → SOS supports legal action to REPEAL or REPLACE Plan 2014 to prevent future flooding
►Our goal (SOS) is to raise $100,000 to contribute to that legal fund. SOS has set up a separate account to accept your TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS just for that fund. A program outlined key issues for potential litigation + other actions to take.
WHY SOS SUPPORTS LOSLRA (and you should too) ... Just like you, SOS has been frustrated with the flooding made worse by the IJC. We struggled to find ways to change things. We've searched for allies to amplify our voice to change or repeal Plan 2014. We believe that LOSLRA is an organization that has a plan, previous experience and expertise to legally challenge the IJC and Plan 2014. LOSLRA is working to bring groups, municipalities, and even countries together to FORM A UNIFIED FRONT with the clout needed TO MAKE AN IMPACT.
