Anne and Fran will manage the set-up of the Annual PBIA Dinner

Met with Elks Club. Menu will be the same as previous years – chicken barbeque

A number of businesses have been contacted for prize donations;

Some of the businesses are: Florist, Cellar, Consignment Shop, Village Restaurant, Sweet Indulgence, Dug Out, Lakeside Doodles, Wolcott Liquor, Gallo’s

Additional businesses to be contacted included Bay Front, Toadz, Golf Course, Twisted Creek Campgrounds, SOS Roofing

Need a letter of Proof of Donation: Myrtle will get this to Ann & Fran

It was suggested to have a “Halloween” theme for the meeting and maybe prizes for best costume

Need for raffle tickets – Myrtle will check to see if she has a supply in her basement

First dredging for 2023 was completed. Looks good – at least 8 feet of water

3 more scheduled dredging

Water level is high right now – Myrtle will email the 2 emails regarding water level. This will be posted on the PBIA website

Future Action Item: Invite Decker to a meeting to discuss future dredging.

Suggestion made to dredge 4 times/year: April/June/July/September

Plan to meet with Jeff Decker in February 2024

Board needs to look at all options and develop a plan to improve Channel Dredging.

Working on new sign for restaurant

Mike requested if the sign could be put underneath the “Welcome to Port Bay” sign

First – fix the 2 signs so that both are level. Mike will have this fixed

PBIA all agreed to place the restaurant sign under Welcome sign.

Terry suggested that a PBIA board member be assigned to handle communications to ensure that information is delivered to the PBIA website, PBIA facebook page, and the Housewive’s of Port Bay facebook page
