Annual Dinner: June 10, 2023
- Anne Schulte and Francine Miller awesome organization and set-up
- Halloween theme – cake and cupcakes
- Best Costume Award
- Jean Gumina and Jackie Rose will meet and greet at the door. Name tags will be provided
- New speakers will be used at the annual dinner
Golf Event: June 3, 2023
- Very successful event
- 68 participants
Roof Top Concert: August 5th 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.
- Chris’ band will be playing
- Cost will be $800.00
- Charity or PBIA ??
Boats & Floats: August 19
- PBIA will support this event with an email blast
- Steve Drechsler will cover the cost for the band
- Hal has offered his land if needed

Annual Dinner Topics:
- NOAA: PBIA is on the excluded list. No issues with our channel exit/dredging contract.
- Culver Project
- REDI – barrier bar project is at 90%
- Weed Harvesting
- 2 sets of weed harvesters
- 2 fulltime crews to operate 4 days/week from 7:30 to 4:30
- Plans are to start harvester at Port Bay the week before July 4th for 3 weeks
- Lindsay asked if Port Bay would support a Bar Barrier Clean Up Day on the East Side in August.
Channel:
- Buoy – need a new cement block to secure the buoy
- Bruce Coon’s son will show us where in the channel exit to place the buoy on the East Side of exit
- Issue with getting the buoy and anchor onto the East Side. Kory suggested checking into asking Jeff Decker to move it from the Pier to the East Side
- Channel Lights are up and running
- Channel is 6 feet deep
Fireworks – July 3, 2023
- Flares ordered and should arrive 6/20-6/21
- Flares will be for sale at Gallo’s, Toadz, and Big M
- Operating permit has been issued – all set
Boat Parade: July 4, 2023
- Theme: Halloween
Update on Whistlewood Trail:
- Terry spoke with Frank Merlock. Opening of Whistlewood Trail is a definite go. Plans are to put in the parking lot this year – but not definite. It will only be parking for 2-3 vehicles.
- DEC is very positive on cleaning up this trail. No liability or financial responsibility to PBIA.
Merchandise:
- There will be new merchandise available at the dinner
- Old merchandise will be discounted and on sale at the annual dinner
- Pop-up sales will be scheduled
