PBIA Minutes

June 10, 2022

7:00 p.m.

Location: Lyons National Bank

 

Attendees: Lori Furguson, Jeff Auser, Becky Hilbert, Terry Palis, Alina Palis, Mike Faillace, Jon Post, Tiffany Smith, Josh Smith, Sue Mattle, Chip Compertore

Opening Remarks: Myrtle

  • Thanks to all in attendance

Approval of May 13, 2022 Minutes

  • Motion for Approval made by Terry Palis

  • Seconded by Jeff Auser

  • Minutes approved

Annual Dinner Meeting:

  • Programs finalized

  • Name Tags at entrance. Thank you to Vicki Bourbonnais for her assistance in getting the name tags ready. Name tags will include street address.

  • There will be a few extra tickets for walk-ins.

  • 90 registered

  • Board Member Election: all board members will be nominated

  • Raffle Basket tickets will sell: 1 ticket for $1.00 or 6 tickets for $5:00

  • 50/50 tickets will sell: 1 ticket $1.00 or 6 tickets for $5:00

  • PB merchandise will be sold

Memberships Report:

  • Susie Mattle was nominated and approved to manage memberships.

Treasury Report:

  • PO Box cost of $84 – approved payment

  • Golf Tournament – approved $444.62 payment

  • Merchandise – approved $3,362.58 payment

  • Raffle Tickets – approved $25.00 payment

  • Finance Report

    • Motion made by Mike Faillace to approve report

    • Seconded by Jon Post

    • All approved

Website Report: Terry

  • Terry reported website is working good.

REDI (Resiliency Economic Development Initiative): Lori Furguson

  • Lindsay Gerstenslager cannot attend the 6/11/2022 Annual Dinner

      • REDI Commission

      • Culvert Project on West Port Bay Road by Beaver Creek

      • Weed Harvesting will be 7/18 through 8/5/2022

Channel:

  • Received feedback that the right hand-side of the channel is filling in.

  • Maybe dig it out again before July 3rd.

  • Pick up buoy from Doug McAvoy

South Boat Launch:

  • Docks arrived and installed on 6/2/2022

Fireworks/Flares:

  • Flares have been delivered: 110 cases at $2.50 each

  • Greg LaValley has committed to bring in his barge for fireworks

  • Contact LaValley and tell him he can bring in the barge early

  • Ambulance and Fire Department are all set

  • Sheriff committed to be there on the water

Whistlewood Trail:

  • Frank (DEC) could not attend this meeting

  • Plans are to move forward

  • In support of researching this initiative with DEC

Upcoming Events:

  • Fireworks: July 3rd

  • Boat Parade: July 4TH – Mardi Gra theme

  • Rooftop Concert: July 30th – Charity will be Wild Wings

  • Family Fishing Derby: September 4th
