- Busy week
- Application for extension for tax reporting has been filed and approved
Approval of May 17, 2024 Minutes
- Motion for Approval made by Alina Palis

- Minutes Approved
June 8, 2024 Annual Meeting and Dinner
- Arrived at 3:30 or 4:00 to help with set-up
- Brochure is printed and ready
- Meeting will start with PBIA Mission and introduction of board members
- A toast to Jody Rose
- Jackie Rose and Jean Gumina volunteered to be greeters
- Need change for both merchandise, raffle tickets, and 50/50 tickets
Treasury Report: Alina emailed the report to all
- $607 paid for website
- Insurance for board members paid
- Motion for approval of report made by Jeff Auser
- Seconded by Terry Palis
- Treasury Report approved
Membership:
- 280 Thank You stickers have been mailed out
- Memberships continue to come in
Golf Tournament:
- Tournament was a success
- 11 Teams played
- After expenses, $745 goes to PBIA
Strawberry Festival: June 15, 2024
- Volunteers to help at the festival: Chip, Jon, Brian, Jeff, Paul, Jackie, and Jean
- Set-up time for festival will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PBIA plans on setting up around 9:00 a.m.
Boat Parade:
- Scheduled for July 4, 2024
- Theme is Olympics Red/White/Blue
Fishing Derby: Terry Palis/Brian Thompson
- Fishing Derby will be held on September 1, 2024
REDI
- Protect the East Barrier Bar
- Pier – will stay at the same length but will encapsulate it
- Fix the road to the North Launch
Weed Harvesting
- Weed Harvesters are in Port Bay at the South Boat launch
Channel Lights:
- Myrtle made a proposal for a sign on opposite side of current Channel Sign (existing Port Bay)
- Think about this proposal and we will address this at the next meeting
Conflict of Interest: Jeff Auser
- No updates
Merchandise: Korey Post
- New merchandise will be available at the Annual Meeting on 6/9/2024
Fireworks: Chip Compertore
- Should have the Coast Guard approval within 1 week
- Greg LaValley is on board to use his barge
- Wayne County Sheriff is all set
- July 3rd – Ring of Fire is at 9:15 and Fireworks will start at 10:00
- Flares are in
- Jeff will post information about fireworks/flares in the Shopper
Entertainment
- Concert in Cove is scheduled for August 17th
- July 27th is the possible date for the Roof Top Concert
Future Topics:
- Should we consider buying our own Barge to accommodate fireworks, concerts??
- Should we consider buying a small week harvester to go in between docks?
- Brian Thompson might need an official at the Fishing Derby. Does anybody know one?
