Governor Cuomo discusses how NYS has critical need Federal help and funding. NYS has Critical need for help & funding
Governor Cuomo is committing 300 million dollars to build better than 2017
2017 NYS spent 100 million nost of that work will need to be redone again as we now have gone higher than 2017
Governor Cuomo is pledging a multi pronged approach
Emergency solutions will be put into place.
IJC is a federal body and NYS will be bring a legal case against them.
Resiliency & action happens now. There is no time for a 2-3 year study
Planners and design people will be available and paid for by NYS.
We then broke into county’s and discussed items to be that could be worked on right now.
Since the PBIA has been working on our East and West barrier bars for the past 6 years I suggested that we are far along in process. We have most of the details worked out and are for the most part looking good.
New working level needs to be established. When the PBIA was allowed to work on our barrier bar in the fall of 2016. The mark was 246’. The new level is 250’ what should you build to now? 252’ ? 255’?
The attachments are the documents that everyone got at the door. We are scheduled to meet again on July 11th in Wayne County as a group again. The group has also requested that members do a tour of the different areas of interest effected before our July 11th.
