Channel UPDATE:
Our dredging contractor was on site Friday (6/4/21) to perform further dredging using a long stick excavator with an extended reach. He was successful in addressing the two areas previously identified at the NE corner of the pier and in the area near navigation light #3. He was only partially successful in addressing the area north of the pier even with the extended reach excavator. Boaters should continue to exercise caution in navigating the channel as ongoing sediment movement will continue throughout the summer.
